This is a portrait study of Andy Warhol, who was an American artist. Furthermore was a leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art. He created a range of silkscreens of cultural and consumer icons, including Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor and Campbell’s Soup Cans. Therefore making Andy Warhol the first portrait to paint seemed obvious.
This is a part of the VI Portrait Challenge, A - Z of Famous Portraits. Each portrait is split into 3 sessions of 2 hours each.
